Stefan Brandenburg is a senior lecturer at the
Institute of Psychology and Ergonomics, Technische Universität Berlin. He received his degree in Psychology in 2008 from Technische Universität Chemnitz (Germany) and his PhD in Cognitive Ergonomics from Technische Universität Berlin in 2013. His teaching activities include courses on traffic psychology, intuitive use of artifacts, and user experience. Stefans research interests involve driver reactions on take-over requests (TOR) in highly automated driving and the dynamics of user experience over time. He is also interested in the ethics of Man-Machine Interaction. In 2009 he was Co-founder of the ethics committee of the Institute of Psychology and Ergonomics which was chaired by him since then. Stefan also founded the Berlin Summer School Human Factors that provides an international platform for PhD candidates to discuss their work with senior researchers from various disciplines.
