The HFES Europe Chapter has established a yearly award, recognising excellent early career papers addressing HF relevant original research.
The 2026 prize confers a € 500.- award which which will be provided at the next annual meeting of the Chapter in Rome in April 2027.

You may submit a paper for consideration by the award committee if the following conditions apply …
1. Paper is written in English
2. Paper presents original experimental or field research on a topic relevant for Human Factors
3. Paper has been published in an international scientific journal after 11/2025 (online first or in written format) OR paper has been recently
submitted to a journal (add confirmation of submission)
4. Paper represents the first or second journal article you have written as first author (publications in proceedings or books do not count here)
5. You are still within the first five years in science after having received a Master’s degree or comparable
6. You were affiliated to a European research facility at least at the time the research was performed
7. Papers submitted in previous years (e.g. preprint) cannot be submitted again.
Deadline for submissions: November 30, 2026
