Angelika C. Bullinger-Hoffmann, TU Chemnitz
Angelika C. Bullinger-Hoffmann is Professor of Ergonomics and Innovation Management at Chemnitz University of Technology (TUC). Her work focuses on human–technology–AI interaction, particularly in mobility and city planning as well as in social and industrial robotics. She has studied socio-technical systems and digitalised work environments throughout her academic career.
Leading a diverse and interdisciplinary research team, she loves to work across domains and perspectives to identify shared patterns and challenges in human–technology systems. Grounded in ergonomics, her research is driven by an innovation perspective: developing concepts through methodologically rigorous research and translating them into solutions relevant for practice.
Before joining TUC in 2012, she worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU), where she also completed her habilitation in collaboration with the University of Pennsylvania. She received her PhD from Technical University of Munich in 2008, after completing her studies at University of St. Gallen (HSG) and HEC Paris.
