Frederik is researcher in the field of psychology, with a focus on human factors in the automotive industry. He obtained his Diploma in Psychology from the University of Würzburg, Germany, in 2010 and later went on to complete his PhD in 2015. His lectures at the University of Würzburg included traffic psychology and psychological research methods. In 2017, he joined BMW as a senior researcher, where he has since been actively involved in a range of industrial as well as academic projects. His research interests are focused on the human factors of automated driving, the design and evaluation of automotive user interfaces, research methods, and test protocols for human factors research. His current research topics include driver distraction, which is a critical issue for the automotive industry, and the challenges associated with the human factors of automated driving. His work has been published in several journals across different disciplines, including human factors psychology and computer science. Naujoks’ research contributions have significant implications for the development of safe and user-friendly automotive technologies, particularly in the area of human-machine interaction.
