Biography Ben Mulder

Dr. Ben Mulder (1949) is a senior scientist at the Department of Psychology at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. He has a background in bio-medical engineering and works now for many years as a psychophysiologist in the field of experimental and work psychology.
He wrote a PhD dissertation (1988) on the assessment of cardiovascular reactivity by means of spectral analysis in which he developed a methodology for measurement and analysis of cardiovascular time series for studying the effects of mental workload and stress.
He was and still is involved in several laboratory and applied studies on mental workload and stress. At the present his main interests are in the domain of adaptive automation using simulated work environments.
