Central theme is Human Factors: a view from an integrative perspective
Many systems are integrated physically and functionally and may interact with other systems. It is important to consider a design not just in isolation, but in the context of the overall environment.
Integration is a key positive driver to efficiently support the end users. Integration refers to the extent to which there are interactions or dependencies between the technical systems, the organisation and the human, that can affect the end-users operations. The level of integration, the form of integration should have a major impact on how to design the global system, how to define the competence and the training of the whole staff. Integration study should include considerations of the following integration factors: role and responsibility of the operators, consistency trade-offs , context of use, working environment, workload and human error. All human factors disciplines are involved in the integration quest, physiology, psychology , sociology...
