Read the hands

This card explains how you should read the electricity meter and fill in the readings. The meter for the 10k kW units has to be read in a clockwise direction; the 1k meter in an anticlockwise direction; the 100 kW clockwise, and so on! And, the instructions don't really help.... Looks like an example of old-technology driven non-ergonomics (probably connected toothed wheels in the clockwork)
