This is a remote control for a mobile tv / dvd-player, typically misdesigned in my opinion. Either you control a system by OSD (On Screen Display), which might be difficult for people who do not use a computer regulary, or you implement all (necessary) functions separately on the remote control, which was done here. The result is horrible and I never understood how it works.
