Tap 2

I'm used to tap 1, with which you control cold water with the right hand control, and hot water with the left hand. I encountered Tap 2 in not-so-far-away Germany and I'm told it is common there. At first I thought the tap did not work. Only when you squeezed your head in between the tap and wall the symbol was visible; temperature is controlled with the right hand control, switching the water on and off with the left hand. Although this type of tap is not uncommon the main problem is that the controls are identical.
